My 5 year old has recently fallen in love with the TV show "DC Cupcakes." The idea for this dramatic play (hmmm, maybe I'll call it "dramatic play dough") activity came straight from that little 5 year old! We now have a cupcake bakery option to our play dough tub!
What You'll Need:
Play Dough
Short Colored Pencils, Crayons, or Candles
Optional: Cupcake Baking Pan
What To Do:
Children get to use their imagination to create cupcakes! Use the pencils as candles.
*Encourage new vocabulary words to match a cupcake bakery:

German Chocolate

Candles
Fahrenheit
*Have younger children practice singing the Happy Birthday song.
