Rhyming Stick Sort

Oh how I love Dr. Seuss!  His books were always my favorites as a young child.  And so, naturally, Dr. Seuss week is also a favorite for me!

This rhyming activity is super simple.  While you can use popsicle sticks for this, I was totally out and so I used my foam stick-shaped things instead (Dollar Store!).  You can have your child sort them into piles on the floor, a sectioned out piece of paper, or even cups.

You can choose any rhyming sounds you'd like, and can use simpler ones for younger readers, and more complex ones for older readers.
