Today's Adventures

My little Zoe was finally back to normal today after being sick since last Thursday.  It was a rough one!  Poor little girlie :(  But she was cheerful and running around today and having fun.

Remember the peanut butter and jelly song that we used to sing in elementary school? First you take the grapes and you pick 'em, you pick 'em.... Well, we sang that at lunch today while each of the children got to make their own pb&j sandwiches.  They thought it was quite silly.

Ellie finished her school work and the kids all went down for naps/rest time early because they were so tired.

Ellie made graham crackers today as part of her math lesson.  She served them for afternoon snack with a little bit of Nutella on top!

We took a walk/ride around the block this afternoon, which is always fun, especially when the weather is nice.

I've had a batch of yogurt cooking in my crockpot all day today.  It's still not done, but I plan on straining this batch to make Greek yogurt ;)  Yum!  It will be ready tomorrow morning...I'll let you know how it turns out!

I also sewed a too-short pair of jeans into folded-up long capris.  Did you know that I've grown 2 inches in the last couple years?  I've been told it's from doing Pilates/Yoga.  Anyway, a pair of jeans that was going to go away is now summer-ready!

And finally, my husband helped me enclose my backyard in-ground planting space (which currently has spinach, lettuce, arugula, and carrots in it) to prevent my almost 2 year old son from purposely stomping around on it.

What did you do today?  Anything fun?  Adventurous?  Frugal?
