Painting with Tea

This morning we decided to try making paint out of brewed tea.  It was a success!  We are always looking for fun new ways to do things, so this was perfect.

What You'll Need:

*Tea bags of various colors/flavors
*Mugs
*Paintbrushes
*Hot water

We spent time smelling the different tea bags first and guessing what color they might make.  We used Tazo Passion tea (which turned red/purple), Green tea (which turned yellow/green), and Lemon tea (which turned orange).  Pour a small amount (1/2 inch) of hot water in each cup and place a tea bag in each.  Once the water has changed color, remove the tea bags and paint away!

They loved that the Passion tea went on red but dried purple.

I loved that the "paint" was natural, especially when Aaron decided to drink some ;)
