Nutella Mug Cake in 5 Min!

If you are looking for a quick, super delicious dessert for tonight, I urge you to pick this one!  It is absolutely amazing!  Seriously.  So good.  I found this recipe on Pinterest, and when we were craving some chocolate last night, this is what we made!  The only issue, though, is that in our eagerness to EAT the cake, I forgot to take a picture.  If you want to see a picture to make your mouth start drooling, you can find the original recipe (and picture) HERE.  This cake buries any boxed cake mix (Ben's words) and it takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish.  What are you waiting for?

In a bowl, mix together:
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 TBS dutch process cocoa powder
  • 6 TBS Nutella
  • 6 TBS milk
  • 6 TBS olive or vegetable oil
Pour evenly into 4-6 mugs (depending on serving size-it does make a lot, though).  Place them in the microwave.  Microwave for 30 seconds at a time until the cake is set (a fork comes out cleanly when inserted in the middle).  Our 4 mugs done together took about 3- 3 1/2 minutes in total.  Top with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.

If you are worried about calories, you can always follow Ben's example and "pray them away".  ;)  Then again, if you're wanting a chocolate cake, who's worried about calories anyway?

Go and make it.  Really.  It's good.
